L.A. Marathon

I did the L.A. Marathon in 4:58. I beat 5 hours, which is not a bad time by any means, but I am a little disappointed. 26.2 miles is very humbling.

I am in a state of pain the likes of which I have never felt before. I will do a full write-up later, but for now here's an audio entry I made shortly after finishing:

Well done! Not Pittsburgh but not Boston either! NYC is pretty awesome this time of the year and the lights are much better than in Pittsburgh anyway!

Hope you aren't still driving the wrong way around the streets of LA. Quick- get a massage!

Outstanding! There's nothing wrong with that time. Too late to tell you this now, but some folks I know swear by ice baths immediately after long runs. Maybe something to try next time?

Rock On Mr. P! Sorry not to pass on the 'don't try to drive yourself home tip'.

Next time.

How long does it take to fly to the beautiful Hawaiian islands? Oh, about 6 hours from LA, plus the time it takes to book the reservations! Get on a plane now!

Aloha!
